My bicycle leaned up against an excavator on the side of Buckhorn Road in Colorado on July 4, 2021. My original plan was to ride up Buckhorn Road to Pennock Pass, but because of last year’s wildfires, the forest up Buckhorn was closed. There was heavy equipment to make road repairs.
